Fling Privacy Policy

Fling is a food photo sharing app published by Gateway Technologies LLC. This policy explains what information Fling collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account information, including your Apple sign-in identifier, phone number, display name, and optional profile information.
• User content, including food photos, comments, reactions, profile photos, and related sharing activity.
• Contacts, if you choose to grant access, so Fling can privately help find contacts who already use the app.
• Location, if you choose to grant access, when you capture a food photo to help infer restaurant or meal context.
• Device identifiers, notification tokens, diagnostics, and basic app interaction data needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

How We Use Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To send food photos and related activity to friends you choose.
• To provide reactions, comments, search, notifications, and friend discovery.
• To protect the service, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and improve app performance.

Sharing

Your food photos and related activity are shared with the friends or recipients you choose inside Fling. We do not sell your personal information and do not use third-party advertising tracking.

We use service providers such as Apple and Firebase/Google Cloud to provide authentication, storage, notifications, hosting, diagnostics, and backend infrastructure. These providers process information for app functionality and service operation.

Your Choices

• You can decline optional contacts, location, and notification permissions.
• You can manage or revoke permissions in iOS Settings.
• You can request account or data deletion from inside the app where available, or by contacting support.

Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Fling, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. Deleted account data may remain briefly in backups or logs before normal deletion cycles complete.

Children

Fling is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and provide notice where appropriate.
